Broadband Bonding

Truffle 5201G and 6401

The TRUFFLE BBNA (Broadband Bonding Network Appliance), is a one-sided Internet bonding appliance that provides aggregated Internet connectivity to small and medium size businesses (SMBs), enterprises, apartments, hotels, hospitals and other multi-tenant buildings via aggregating multiple Internet access lines for increased performance and reliability. With the TRUFFLE BBNA, multiple DSL, cable modem or T1 services can be combined to provide higher speed and more reliable Internet access.

The TRUFFLE BBNA provides a quick Return on Investment (ROI) and lower operating expenses. The total subscription costs of multiple Internet access lines are often substantially less than a single high-speed Internet access line of equivalent bandwidth. The payback period on the investment is often less than 6 months. You can download an application scenarios and ROI analysis white-paper by clicking here.

The TRUFFLE BBNA combines multiple Internet access lines, each on a 10/100baseT Ethernet interface, into a single aggregated Internet access line, again on a 10/100baseT Ethernet interface. The aggregation over the Internet access lines is done even for a single session, providing the full aggregate speed.

The TRUFFLE BBNA5201G supports aggregation of up to 5 Internet access lines and additional cellular data cards. Each Internet access line may be through a DSL modem, cable modem, T1, satellite modem, fractional DS3, DS3, fiber, cellular or any other broadband connection.

The TRUFFLE BBNA6401 supports aggregation of up to 6 Internet access lines and additional cellular data cards. Each Internet access line may be through a DSL modem, cable modem, T1, satellite modem, fractional DS3, DS3, fiber, cellular or any other broadband connection.

Porcini

The Porcini BBNA (Broadband Bonding Network Appliance), is a one-sided Internet bonding appliance that provides aggregated Internet connectivity in a cost-effective way to small and medium size businesses (SMBs), enterprises, apartments, hotels, hospitals and other multi-tenant buildings who wish to aggregate multiple Internet access lines for increased performance and reliability. With the Porcini BBNA, multiple DSL, cable modem or T1 services can be combined to provide higher speed and more reliable Internet access.

The Porcini BBNA combines multiple Internet access lines, each on a 10/100baseT Ethernet interface, into a single aggregated Internet access line for HTTP downlink traffic, again on a 10/100baseT Ethernet interface. The aggregation over the Internet access lines is done even for a single download session, providing the full aggregate speed. Additionally, session based intelligent load-balancing is provided for both non-http downlink and uplink traffic as well as inbound load-balancing. The Porcini BBNA4411 supports aggregation of up to 4 Internet access lines plus one USB based cellular data card as the 5th WAN. Each Internet access line may be through a DSL modem, cable modem, T1, satellite modem, fractional DS3, DS3, fiber, cellular or any other broadband connection.

Portabella 2242

The PortaBella BBNA2242 (Broadband Bonding Network Appliance), is an Internet bonding appliance that provides cost effective Internet connectivity for mobile and portable deployments.

When peered with another BBNA device (optional), PortaBella provides uplink and downlink bonding for any protocol between a mobile location and the host office via bonding together multiple cellular wireless Internet access cards for increased performance and reliability. PortaBella aggregates the capacity of as many as five USB based cellular data cards providing increased access bandwidth in both uplink and downlink directions for the communication link to the host office. The host office BBNA will also act as a transparent proxy, enabling the PortaBella with a bonded connection out to the public Internet. Alternatively, PortaBella when used with the Broadband Bonding Service subscription, will enable uplink/downlink bonding without requiring any host office BBNA devices as the peering unit would be hosted by Mushroom Networks.

For live streaming video and for any other low latency interactive video applications, PortaBella BBNA can peer with a data center server operated by Mushroom Networks that has the video optimization module. The video optimization module implements patented resource allocation algorithms that enable low latency, low jitter and high quality video streaming from the PortaBella. This optional subscription service is ideal for broadcasting, video conferencing and any other interactive video applications at a cost much lower than alternatives such as satellite or microwave services.

The PortaBella BBNA combines up to 5 USB based cellular wireless data cards. PortaBella also has 2 10/100baseT Ethernet based WAN ports for wired connections, and 2 10/100baseT Ethernet based LAN ports to connect to network or devices at the mobile location. PortaBella is the fastest available mobile wireless Internet access available today.

Portabella 141

The PortaBella BBNA141 (Broadband Bonding Network Appliance), is an Internet bonding appliance that provides cost effective Internet connectivity for mobile and portable deployments.

When peered with another BBNA device (optional), PortaBella provides uplink and downlink bonding for any protocol between a mobile location and the host office via bonding together multiple cellular wireless Internet access cards for increased performance and reliability. PortaBella aggregates the capacity of as many as four USB based cellular data cards providing increased access bandwidth in both uplink and downlink directions for the communication link to the host office. The host office BBNA will also act as a transparent proxy, enabling the PortaBella with a bonded connection out to the public Internet. Alternatively, PortaBella when used with the Broadband Bonding Service subscription, will enable uplink/downlink bonding without requiring any host office BBNA devices.

This optional subscription service is ideal for broadcasting, video conferencing applications and any other interactive video applications at a cost much lower than alternatives such as satellite or microwave services.

The PortaBella BBNA141 combines up to 4 USB based cellular wireless data cards. PortaBella has one 10/100baseT Ethernet based LAN port to connect to local network or devices at the mobile location. With the optional battery pack, the ultra portable PortaBella BBNA141 is the fastest available mobile wireless Internet access available today.
