High Speed 3G access and Bonded Broadband

Chinese equipment manufacturer Huawei  has recently demonstrated the worlds fastest 3G download speeds using HSDPA+ down-link (High Speed Packet Access) of 18.2 Mbps, in Australia. This is getting close to the maximum theoretical downstream of 21Mbps.

This is well ahead of the 2Mbps universal access target from the UK government, will mobile broadband replace the fixed access network.

We think not – Openreach are investing heavily on FTTC and FTTH (Fibre to the Cabinet and Fibre to the Home). These new services can support speeds in excess of  20Mb (FTTC) and 100Mb (FTTH).

With a solution that can bond multiple broadband access links together, we can offer a very cost effective solution to provide high speed connections for small to medium business that would typically of been difficult to justify. These can be connections from either the same of different ISP’s if you require.

However HSDPA and 3G networks do offer an alternative/complementary service for events, mobile workers, construction, external broadcast or disaster recovery, should a fixed cable networks experience damage.

We have solutions that can offer up-link and down-link bonding of multiple 3G channels which can support instant mobile access download speeds from 5Mbs up to 20Mbs and beyond as network capabilities in the UK expand.

With video optimisation modules as a option this can provide very cost effective solution for live video streaming at a much lower cost than traditional satellite or microwave networks. This is an ideal solution for broadcasting, video conferencing or any other interactive video application.
